Interior for joy

The New PORG aims to lead children to experience the joy of discovery, new knowledge and successful collaboration every day. This is not only reflected in the composition of subjects and teaching but also influences the architectural design of the spaces where the pupils spend their free time.

To create a pleasant environment for the pupils in the first year of primary school, the school management therefore turned to the architects from studio X in the autumn of 2023. The renovation of the existing space required a complete replacement of the flooring, and installation of new lighting, furniture and accessories, and the client also wanted a new artistic concept for the walls.

For the very youngest pupils of the first grade, the architects chose the theme of the forest. The walls with animal motifs are complemented by seating in the shape of mushrooms and stumps and several chairs and benches, which are used for example for clubs in the afternoon.

A marine theme again runs through the three-storey building for classes 3 to 5. On the bottom floor you will find the underwater depths, on the middle floor the underwater world and on the top floor the coastline.

Soft, tailored seating complements everything in the space, and on each floor you'll find stay stairs with seat cushions for lighter forms of learning and to make use of break time.

We are not afraid of bold colours and accessories. But we don't always find the right environment for them. Here we had almost unlimited space to use them. Moreover, we didn't have to tame our ideas about the colour scheme of the space, because the colour palette provided by Palettone material suits almost every wish.

A palette for any assignment

We are happy to participate in large colour projects. And the Krč school offered the opportunity to apply our high-quality surfaces to an impressive 800 square metres.

The architects' idea of colour combinations that would evoke the atmosphere of the forest and the ocean was fulfilled in this case thanks to the Polyflor Palettone material. The homogeneous vinyl flooring meets the demanding requirements of interior designers in terms of colour and shape, in addition to the high maintenance requirements. The flooring can be laid in a single colour or can be cut and pasted to create multi-coloured patterns. The colour range includes forty-two carefully selected shades to suit current trends in modern interior design.

Vinyl flooring also meets high load ratings and is 100% recyclable. You can read about the other benefits of vinyl flooring on our website.
