Industrial style has been high in the preference of residential architects and designers for some time... And no wonder – the purity and simplicity of the lines appeals to more and more architects and their clients, and moreover, this style is universally combinable with others.
Exposure of the concrete
The apartment in the new building with an area of 85 square metres was designed by the Formafatal studio led by the architect Dagmar Štěpánová. BOCA not only participated in the reconstruction through the complete implementation of the floors, but also by uncovering the concrete ceilings and walls, from which it was necessary to remove the plaster, and then sand them and paint them with a special impregnation.
Natural cement screeds
Our cement screed is applied everywhere on the floors in a natural grey shade, which allows other interior elements to stand out. Anthracite was only chosen for the children's room, which already serves more as a guest room.
In addition to the exposed concrete, the apartment is also dominated by iron structures and, of course, designer pieces and custom-made furniture. The whole interior is fine-tuned in every detail and adapted to its owner.
We are pleased that the result of the cooperation of all participants is such a successful realisation that it became the absolute winner of the Interior of the Year competition.
