The brand new Bořislavka office and shopping center, owned by the KKCG group, was built for three years and the total investment climbed to approximately 3.5 billion crowns. The buildings and interiors were designed by the architectural studio Aulík Fišer Architekti, and the surroundings are complemented by sculptures by contemporary artists, such as Maxim Velčovský and others. The greenery also occupies a large place in the project - for example, an island of 76 acacia poles, which are planted with several thousand plants, is installed right in the entrance hall.
A large part of the interior is equipped with carpets - these are mostly contract types that have the potential to withstand the frequent movement of people in these areas without damage. They have been selected carpets which meet the resistance class of at least 33, i.e. they are suitable for heavy traffic in commercial areas.
Used contract carpet and carpet tiles:
- COM 1000 ZigZag (1200 m2)
- Madra (500 m2)
- Phantom Super (185 m2)
COM 1000 ZigZag contract carpet squares were installed in most areas - it is a flat woven tiles with a size of 50x50 cm and with special edges, which have a number of advantages:
- The tiles can be installed in the same direction, thus achieving the effect of a broadloom with minimally visible joints.
- Single tiles can be easily replaced if needed.
- The tiles and the edges are laser cut, which guarantees a perfect fit and helps prevent fraying.
ZigZag carpet tiles have won several design awards for an innovative product.
Carpet rolls and rugs
The Madra and Phantom Super carpets were then installed both wall-to-wall and as a rugs, for example in smaller meeting rooms and rest areas. Round rugs have a diameter of 3.8 to 4.5 meters. The soft shades of brown, gray and black were chosen.
