Tasibel is a Belgian company, founded in 1923, which has specialised in sisal processing since its inception. It is currently one of the few European companies producing high quality sisal carpets. Other natural materials have gradually been added to sisal, so in addition to pure sisal, Tasibel also offers coconut carpets and carpets made from a combination of sisal and other natural materials.
Sisal carpets have their own unique appearance, they are made using the flat weaving technique, which offers a wide range of different types of weaves, surfaces and structures, thanks to which these carpets are visually interesting and effective. In order for Tasibel carpets to be modern and trendy, they often combine sisal with other natural materials, coconut, wool or flax, which enliven the material and bring a different structure or colour into it.
The Tasibel range of carpet shades mimics natural colours, with a wide range from sand or ecru, so typical of sisal, to earthy tones of beige, brown, grey or black, complemented by a shade of burgundy, which coconut carpets have historically been dyed with.
